Does my booked time include setup and teardown time?

Yes, our rental price is based on an 8-hour rental.

Is there a kitchen available?

We offer a dedicated catering prep area with counter space, fridge, freezer, ice maker, rack storage, etc. The caterer you hire will bring in whatever they need to properly prepare the food.

Can I set up a tent or canopy outside?

No, however the Barrel Room includes a dedicated portion of our deck which will be completed Spring 2019 to accommodate your outdoor space needs.

Can I have a tour?

Yes, please call 612-208-1042 or email events@royalfoundrycraftspirits.com to set up a tour.

Can I serve alcohol besides your spirits?

Yes, click here for our bar service options. Beer and wine will come in through your selected caterer’s liquor license. Royal Foundry is only legally allowed to serve what we produce onsite (gin, rum, vodka and whiskey).

Can I serve food?

Yes, you may select one of our preferred catering partners or bring in premade, packaged food from any grocery store or commercial kitchen. We cannot allow homemade food into the event spaces.

Are tables and chairs included?

No, you will need to rent those from one of our preferred vendors. Click here for the list.

Do I have access to electricity?

Yes, there are several sockets in the large event space, as well as the other two events spaces.

Are dogs allowed?

Not presently. We love pets, but the State of Minnesota Department of Health requires a specific waiver in order for animals to come into space where food or beverage is being manufactured. Royal Foundry is in the process of applying for that waiver.

Can I decorate?

Yes, we want to make every meeting or event here a special and welcoming experience. Therefore, every effort will be made to allow renters to prepare decorations reflecting their creative requirements. Royal Foundry Events will be responsible for rearranging and moving any existing furnishings. No nails, screws, staples or penetrating items are to be used on our walls, barrels or floors. No glitter or foil (nonpaper) confetti is allowed on-site. Only low-tack tape is allowed on our floors and walls. The cost to repair damages will be charged to renter within thirty (30) days after the event.

What type of entertainment can we book?

We are licensed for up to a five-piece band. The distillery is adjacent to residential units and therefore neighborhood noise regulations do apply. In the event that renter’s event creates a disturbance due to high noise volume, Royal Foundry Event’s onsite manager has full authority to ask renter to turn the volume down and/or off. If repeated disturbances are created, at RFE and Royal Foundry Craft Spirits Corporation’s discretion, renter may be expelled from the premises or the offending noise will be ended. In the event of disturbances to the point of expulsion, no portion of the event costs will be refunded to renter. Music must end by 10 p.m. weeknights (Monday through Thursday) and Sunday and by midnight on weekends (Friday and Saturday).

What is the cancellation/refund policy?

All cancellations will result in forfeiture of the deposit, plus payment of the following liquidated damages calculated based upon a percentage of the total estimated fees as follows: 

  • 90 - 31 days before the start of the event – 25% of the estimated fees

  • 30 - 10 days before the start of the event – 50% of the estimated fees

  • 10 days to the start of the event – 80% of the estimated fees
